Utility contains the old code from ClipMate5, and the sleek new XML Stand-alone conversion utility that will read a ClipMate5 dataĭirectory and produce XML that is compatible with ClipMate 7. XML Import capability in ClipMate 7.1 to do the job.
Rather than port that code into version 7, we are relying on the Lot of old code, so we discarded it in version 7. Had a function for importing v5 data, it was bulky and contained a Stores its data in a series of "flat files and directories", whereĬlipMate 7 (and 6) use a relational database. Programs use completely different database storage.
Upgrading from ClipMate 5 to 7 is tricky because these two It is an awseome program which I have used for years now and wouldn't be without it. I find that one is only limited by their own imagination when using Clipmate. I print up a master index for the articles with the binder number I can find them in. My notes and articles are easy to follow, it takes a second to clean up the articles when I have copied them from the Digest. I print all of this information out from Clipmate. When there are enough articles to print I make sure I go into "Config"- "User Preference" - "Printing Options" and then type in the "Heading" that I want. I edit the information in Clipmate by numbering as I add topics along with the date I received info. I make up a folder in Clipmate with the Topic Name. If I printed articles out right from the Digest they look sloppy, and are hard to follow. I have a lot of hints and tips that come in a Digest form.
